Chiropractic Biophysics Technique

Chiropractic Biophysics

Chiropractic Biophysics technique commonly referred to as (CBP) is used to treat the underlying structural causes of your pain. The human spine has 3 very distinct postural curves - one in your neck, one in your mid back and one in your lower back. The posture curves in your spine play a key role in how you function by acting as levers, resisting gravity, providing shock absorption and reducing forces on the spinal discs to protect the spinal cord and nerves.

Injuries, age, poor posture habits, diseases and improper physical activity result in spinal misalignment and loss in the normal postural curves. When these curves deviate from optimal position many structures are placed under increased stress and strain including the spinal discs, ligaments and supporting muscles. This increased stress can lead to a number of negative health consequences such as; muscle spasms, bulging discs, degenerative spinal arthritis, trigger points "knots" in your muscles, headaches, sciatica and even herniated "ruptured" discs.

Dr. Hodes will prescribe a program of chiropractic adjustments combined with specialized traction in the office and home exercises based on your unique condition and situation. This will help to slowly return the shape of your spine back towards its normal alignment relieving your pain and symptoms and restoring your function and flexibility.
